Hey everyone, welcome to this week’s edition of Art/ist Round-up.
My 5 discoveries this week, in no particular order, are:
‘Summoning’ by Sean Mundy
Starting this week’s round-up with ‘Summoning’ by Sean Mundy. I was drawn to the physicality of this piece and assumed it was a 3D render. So I was surprised when I saw a BTS video showing Sean photographing himself to create the unique elements. The execution, attention to detail, and overall vision are fantastic.Photography by Alex Kittoe
I’m a big fan of Alex, so much so that I struggled to pick an individual piece to highlight. I eventually settled on these 4 shots from Scottsdale. The beautiful compositions and colours immediately caught my attention, with each photo having a dreamlike quality. I don’t think these particular photographs have been minted. Worth reaching out to Alex to find out.‘Overwhelmed by nostalgia’ by Andrew Carr
I’m bending my own rules with this entry. As far as I’m aware, Andrew is not operating in the NFT space, nor does he have a Twitter account, but there is no denying the beauty of these paintings. The colours in each piece feel like they are flowing and bleeding into one another in slow motion, making me feel fortunate to witness it.‘There's an Empty Space’ by Joe Pease
Every piece feels like you are watching it for the first time, creating a hypnotic loop, filled with wonderful details. Ending this week’s selection with a physical abstract piece from Asher. I saw this painting in my feed one morning and bookmarked it immediately. I love the overlapping colours, variation in marks, and playful spirit. It’s a painting that makes you stop and pay attention.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s edition of Art/ist Round-up.
