Hello friends, and welcome back to Art/ist Round-up.
This week’s top 5 discoveries (in no particular order) are:
‘magnetospheric chorus emissions’ by @KrugerOno
Starting this week’s newsletter with a fantastic piece by abstract artist Kruger ✦ Ono. This piece caught my eye with its rich use of texture and choices of colour. I’m really interested to learn more about this artist’s creative process, as this piece is described as mixed-media, and I have no idea how it was created. Really interesting.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of Dan’s work. I love the pastel colours in this piece, the fluid marks, and the introduction of typography. It all blends together into something that I find oddly soothing. Beautiful work.

The heavy use of noise and blur really makes this work stand out to me. It feels like the artist was trying to be still and present in a moment, trying to capture the perfect shot, and being moved along quickly. All that remains is a blurred and imperfect memory of a beautiful scene.

The work of diji is a new discovery for me this week and one that I’m really excited to have made. I really like the blending of photography, paint marks, and energetic scribbles. The use of blue really helps other elements stand out and pull the viewer’s attention across the canvas. An artist I will be keeping an eye on for sure.

Closing out this week’s newsletter, we have ‘lb02x-24’ by @lb00x_. I’m a big fan of logbook and hold one of their works in my collection. This piece feels like a signature logbook, from the expressive marks, the use of colour, and the blending of glitch and collage techniques. Wonderful work.
