Hey👋
Welcome back to Art/ist Round-up. My 5 discoveries (in no particular order) are:
‘N`13’ by @motherlouisiane
Starting this week’s selection off with a piece by @motherlouisiane. I came across this piece on the Foundation homepage and was immediately drawn to the use of collage and restrained use of colour. In a space that is heavily dominated by vibrancy, it’s wonderful to see works that take a more subtle approach. The whole series is wonderful and I suggest you check them out.

I love what José does, and I’m really excited about this new release. I love the minimal approach, paired with what I can only describe as a mastery of colour. Every piece feels like it’s tingling, or humming with energy. This Drop is now live on Foundation, and I suggest you move quickly if interested in acquiring a piece.

I was fortunate to get a sneak peek of this piece and instantly fell in love. It reminds me of topographical photography, every inch of the canvas is filled with details and textures. I may have to make an offer on this one.

I’m someone who has heard of Botto, but has never dived in to investigate the works produced by this “autonomous artist governed by the people”. I really like this piece, its restricted use of colour and the painterly marks make it feel more human. Definitely going to keep my eye on this project as it continues to develop.

Closing out this week’s newsletter with a new piece from Ryland (The Fallen Sol). I love the use of glitch and noise in this piece, feels like I am looking at a melting processor. Really great.
