Welcome back to Art/ist Round-up.
After taking a break I’m really excited to be back sharing my weekly top 5 art/ist discoveries.
Here they are in no particular order:
‘100%_finalest_final_fuck_this_piece_final_version.jpg’ by @a_javaloyas
Kicking things off this week with a new piece from Alejandro Javaloyas. I was somewhat mindlessly scrolling my feed the other day and this piece immediately grabbed me. I love the textures, scanner effect, and colour palette; I also find the use of UI components within the layers interesting. Excellent work.
↳ DM artist for inquiries‘DRIFT’ by @Megthorpeart
I’ve been following Meg for a while now, I always find myself drawn to her visual style and use of the figure. I love the ghostly nature of ‘DRIFT’, the use of darker tones on a lighter canvas, and how she tapers everything off with spray. Gorgeous piece.

This is a new discovery for me (shoutout to @chepertom for sharing a post). This painted scene is fantastic and I love how it’s overlaid with glitched/holographic effects. Beautiful colours and composition.

I’m a huge fan of Alex and have followed his photography journey for some time now. His most recent works really caught my attention for how they are beautifully collaged together. This piece has a real richness and warmth to it, and I love how the flowers frame the composition. I just love it.

Ending this week with a firm favourite. I’ve been following Sam for ages, and I’m always awe-struck when I see his work in my feed. For me, it’s nothing short of incredible; the texture, composition, and colours are all impressive, but what really stands out for me is the emotion in this piece. A true master.
