Welcome to this week’s edition of Art/ist Round-up.
My top 5 discoveries this week, in no particular order are:
‘Broken Visions’ by Roberto Rivadeneira
I love the composition of this piece by Roberto; the clearly defined areas filled with photography and abstract forms feels really compelling. The combination of the rust colour with blues and greys is really striking. A beautiful piece.

↳ View here‘AST/ASC 7’ by Natalie Christensen
It took me a little while to realise this piece from Natalie was in fact a collage (note to self, read descriptions sooner). Elements appear to be painted, while others are clearly photographic. It’s a wonderfully balanced piece, with great colours and a fascinating scene.

↳ View here‘Summertime Dreams’ by Archie Morley
Archie is a well-known abstract artist, and for me, this is one of his most iconic pieces. Abstract marks and vibrant colours, swirl together into a beautiful, digital distortion vortex. It’s mesmerising and I can’t stop looking at it!

↳ View here‘I Cannot’ by Jim Roll
This video piece (sorry I can’t display it here properly) by Jim Roll is really interesting, it reminds me of Hockney’s video works, but is grittier, and fills me with the notion, that the artist wants to return to a specific time and place.

↳ View here‘Dichotomy III’ by Valeria Terán
I’ve featured Valeria before, and no doubt she will feature again. This abstract piece is both striking, and beautiful. I love the use of colour here, the varying size of the marks, and how areas are masked off, or live in clearly defined boundaries.
