Shining a spotlight on the NFT art and artists I am loving this week.

My 5 discoveries this week, in no particular order, are:

1. ‘Untitled WIP’ by Space Case
   
   Kicking this week off with an untitled WIP from Space Case.
   
   The human figure, use of light and dark, and elements of collage are really striking. It’s stripped back and all the more powerful for it. I really like this piece.

2. ‘Shift of Self’ by michelleviljoen.eth
   
   This piece by Michelle really stood out to me. The composition of the portrait, use of negative space, and quality of the brushwork are fantastic. The inclusion of the panels gives it a graphic novel feel and adds even more intrigue. Wonderful.

3. ‘Layers of The Mind’ by ciput
   
   I’m a big fan Ciput, and this new collection is an exciting addition to her body of abstract works. Her use of colour, mark-making, and layering is always a joy to witness. Very excited about this.

4. ‘An Ending Fitting For The Start’ by Peter Evans
   
   What caught my attention with this piece was the handwriting, and how it’s layered within the glitch and collage elements. This piece feels like a strong amalgamation of Peter’s artistic practices.

5. ‘distant echoes of civilization’ by aertime
   
   Wrapping up this week’s edition with a piece from aertime, a master of glitch art and this new piece is absolute proof of that. I love the blending of elements, and the light marks running throughout the piece. Reminds of a topographical map.
