Artists have always developed their own languages of abstraction; exploring techniques that push the limits of their practice and finding new ways to connect with audiences.
Once a purely physical medium, a suite of increasingly sophisticated digital tools has created a new paradigm for abstract artists to exist within.
Artists working in “traditional” abstraction are frequently turning to digital platforms to extend the reach of their work, and new abstract artists enter the space every day.
Some now work exclusively in digital mediums, while others (including Collider curator, Richard Chappelow a.k.a. @BilndArt) opt for a hybrid approach, layering the physical and digital aspects of their practice.
This exhibition brings together some of the most exciting abstract artists working in the NFT space today and explores the intersection between contemporary digital and physical abstraction.
